Laura is sweetness with something burning underneath.
It opens in a vivid rush of sour cherry—bright, tart, almost impossibly beautiful—before the edges begin to darken. Saffron and warm florals bloom through the heart, softened by a trace of golden apricot and a faint, lingering spice. Then comes the smoke.
Woodsmoke curls beneath the fruit and flowers, changing everything it touches. What began luminous becomes deeper, stranger, and more intimate: sweetness against shadow, softness against heat, innocence with something unknowable just beneath the surface.
Laura is beautiful in the way certain memories are beautiful—because you can never quite get back to them.

Laura was first poured in 2015, as a small-batch roll-on perfume oil, back when Great Northern was a tiny shop with a big obsession. Life happened, the shop weathered hard years, and Laura was set aside. But people never stopped asking for her.
By late 2023, we finally had it: a formula that felt like a true portrait of Laura. A girl who weathered more storms than anyone knew in her short life, and who still made room for kindness, from delivering Meals on Wheels to tutoring the kids who needed it most. We wanted a perfume that would honor her story, her strength, and the tenderness she carried underneath it all.
In January 2024, Laura came back as a true perfume, by popular demand, and she became the scent everyone was talking about. Customers have told us they can't live without it.
This isn't the Laura of the headlines, or the one wrapped in plastic. This is the Laura who should have lived, and loved. The goodness that was taken from her, bottled: the cherry pie at the diner, the woodsmoke of home, the warmth she gave away to everyone around her.
There's only one Laura.

How do I layer it? +
For the deepest, longest-lasting scent, build it in layers: start in the shower with the 16 oz Body or Hand Wash or a Bath Bomb, seal it in with the 16 oz Lotion or 8 oz Whipped Body Butter, then spray the perfume on top. Fragrance clings to moisturized skin, so your scent lasts hours longer. Choose them from the size menu above. Then set the mood at home with the matching The One Candle.
Wait, does it smell like cigarettes and bad decisions? +
No. Not a single note of smoke-filled Roadhouse, plastic, or anything you would find in a diary best left locked. Laura is the girl behind all of that: bright sour cherry, warm florals, saffron and a soft curl of woodsmoke, like a campfire at the edge of an orchard. The Laura who should have lived. If you are after something darker, the Black Lodge is always open. We just do not bottle it here.
Which size should I choose? +
2ml Discovery Vial: a few days of wear, perfect for testing on your skin. 10–15 ml: travel and purse size. 50 ml: your signature bottle and the best value per ml. Extrait de Parfum is the most concentrated and closest to the skin, Eau de Parfum is rich and long-wearing, and Eau de Toilette is lighter and brighter.
How do I make it last? +
Spray on moisturized skin at your pulse points (neck, wrists, behind the ears) and a mist on clothing or hair. Don't rub your wrists together, which breaks down the top notes faster.
